What do you cherish most about yourself? One of the top things I seriously cherish is my healthy, lustrous hair. I’ve been blessed with some natural locks that have helped to give me a portion of the confidence I need to feel beautiful inside and out. But being blessed with pretty hair, doesn’t mean it’ll always remain that way. I show my hair extra love in a couple different ways, so today in partnership with Nature’s Bounty, I’m sharing my tips on how to show hair extra love and ways natural beauty can be fostered both inside and out!
Take Care of Yourself // My number one pointer for showing your hair, and truly your entire body, that extra love it needs, is by taking care of yourself. You are number one, and your body needs tender loving care to keep you in tip-top form. That means, drinking enough water each day, watching what you eat and indulge in, exercising and getting enough sleep every night. I don’t know about you, but I know I need at least eight hours of sleep at night to feel rested. When I let myself stay up past my bedtime or over-indulge on the weekends, my body makes me pay for it. It’s okay to have cheat every so often, but taking care of yourself not only shows yourself extra love, but your entire body and organs (our skin is our largest organ!). You will not only look better, but you’ll feel better too!
Avoid heat on your hair when possible // If my younger, straightener addicted-self, could’ve received this advice, that would’ve been wonderful. But we do what we do, and for me that meant using a straightener and blow-drying my hair almost every single day for multiple years as a teenager. Needless to say, my hair had seen better days, but after reading one too many articles about heat damage in my Allure or InStyle magazines, I finally realized I needed to avoid heat. Today, I try to let my hair air dry as often as possible. A huge tip on how to show hair extra love is by letting it air dry at least two to three times a week; it’s life-changing! If I do need to style my hair, I spray it with heat protectant and try to let my locks air dry as much as possible before applying the heat from a hair dryer or curling iron. This is a very important tenant as to how to show hair extra love that it needs!
Develop a routine of taking vitamins & supplements // As part of my own path to wellness, I’ve began a daily vitamin and supplement routine. While it’s a small step, there’s definitely something helpful to our bodies when it comes to vitamins & supplements. I grew out my hair the longest it had ever been for our wedding, so that I could avoid extensions. I’m so glad I did it, but my hair was definitely unhealthy in the few months that followed. You may remember from this Instagram post, that I got my hair cut back to a healthy length and colored for the first time. From that point on, I added Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies to my everyday routine. The child in me loves that these gummies taste like Strawberry fruit snacks and that they’re easy on my digestive system. It’s important to remember that beauty starts from within. Nature’s Bounty® Hair, Skin & Nails sets the foundation to support your natural beauty from the inside and out* by offering the vital nutrients your body needs each day. Plus, with a mix of nutrients including Biotin, Vitamin C and Vitamin E, the gummies work from within to support lustrous hair, vibrant skin and healthy nails.*
Just as I treat myself to occasional indulgences like manicures, haircuts or massages, it’s important to show yourself that extra love that helps you feel more beautiful inside and out. I hope these tips on how to show hair extra love have helped! I refreshed my beauty routine with the Hair, Skin & Nails Challenge, now it’s your turn to see for yourself how Nature’s Bounty Hair, Skin & Nails Gummies work from within to support lustrous hair, healthy nails and vibrant skin. Nature’s Bounty is so confident in their product that if for any reason you don’t like it after 30 days, they will give you your money back.
