Our first day in Dubai was a little rough on me – fighting the jet lag as well as one of the hottest days we experienced, had my body a little unhappy. Nevertheless a roughly 44 degrees celsius outside temperature (plus the humidity factor, making the heat around 115 degrees fahrenheit for us American folks had me dressing solely for comfort and coolness. Enter floppy hats & flowy dresses. To me, the epitome of what to wear when it is brutally hot.
Say hello to the sibling of the little black dress (LBD) and the cousin to the little white dress (LWD). The little blue dress, albeit, similar to it’s little black wardrobe counterpart, has it’s own personality too.
Let’s kick off the week with some fun Fourth of July inspiration. I love a good Americana look. I guess that’s the prep persona in me, but I definitely took this look to a little more edgy place than I would normally opt for. It’s been fun to push the boundaries of my usually classic style a little bit more. After all, what’s the fun in fashion if you don’t push your own envelope every once and awhile?
