What kind of holiday gatherings do you usually find yourself at? In recent years I’ve had ornament exchanges, Christmas luncheons and dinners, along with a dressy seated dinner and dancing. With that, I like to make sure I have a few different options to put together throughout the season.[one_half][/one_half][one_half_last][/one_half_last]
When getting together with friends for our annual lunch or ornament exchange, I opt for cozy holiday appropriate looks. That’s why this has quickly become one of my favorite seasonal staples. Paired with a , the look is just the right amount of holiday, without being over the top. For sizing reference, I’m wearing my true size in the cardigan and sized up in the camisole.
I also find myself at a handful of evening cocktail parties or dinners, so I love wearing pieces that can be mixed and matched. That means I can wear both the casual or dressy in multiple different combinations.[one_half][/one_half][one_half_last][/one_half_last]
Jewel tones are a year-around favorite of mine. And they’re even better during the holidays. I also love wearing colors that aren’t traditional to the holidays. That’s why this is a closet gem! Wear it coupled with this flirty or in the day with a pair of dark denim and flats.

Loving all those textures! As we near the end of the holiday season I realized I don’t really have any parties this year that need to dress up. We had our Sunday school girls pj party and then that’s pretty much it for me this year. My husbands work is opting for a employees and clients only party, no spouses, and then we’ll be with our extended family for New Years. And with five babies ranging from newborn to 3yrs old I’m guessing that New Years celebration will also be a pj party lol!

I love that skirt. It’s playful and fun. I also like the pants too. THe pants keep things simple.
