We’re in the thick of summer and come August it’s usually hot, hot, hot! I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I live in lightweight dresses in the middle of summer. It’s hot and extra humid the next few months in Houston, so affordable printed summer dresses that are easy to toss on are my go-to.
I’ve certainly been a fan of affordable finds, and these two dresses are just that. They look much more expensive than they are and while they’re lightweight, they don’t feel cheap! Can you believe these head to toe looks are from Walmart? The retailer has totally upped their game, and I’ve been super impressed with their fashion offerings. Walmart fashion has a variety of brands and styles online, both stylish and classic offerings. As I’ve said before, I only share brands I truly would wear and purchase on my own, and these pieces are all just that.
You might remember the brands and . They’re both now apart of Walmart.com fashion, and featured brands carried by the retailer. The pieces are fashionable and on-trend, plus they’re priced right!

Can you believe this dress is only $34? The fit and flare shape is flattering for a variety of body shapes and sizes, and the voluminous sleeves add some visual interest. I sized up for some added length on the mini dress hem.
This affordable printed summer dress pairs perfectly with a (the gingham canvas lining is adorable), and a . Both accessories can be worn with so many outfits in a wardrobe, and look much more expensive than they actually are.
If you’re looking for a bit more modesty when it comes to dress length, this yellow floral ruffle hem midi sundress is flattering and lightweight. The smocked back allows for forgiveness in the bust, too.
I don’t always have success with midi dresses, as I’m only 5’3. However, this yellow floral ruffle hem midi sundress is the perfect length for someone my height. The hemline hits about mid-calf on me. I also sized up on this dress for a better all-around fit. Throw on a over your shoulders for date night or a movie.
Straw and woven bags are always a must for my summer wardrobe, and this little round textured bag is a fun, girly accessory that can be paired with a variety of outfits.
