While in New York last month, my photographer Lauren introduced me to AYR. Never heard of it? I hadn’t either, but I had heard of Bonobos – that’s AYR’s brother-line so-to-speak. AYR, standing for All Year Around is the women’s line to Bonobos, and quite frankly I am obsessed. We had the pleasure of visiting their showroom the Friday of Fashion Week and had a blast previewing their collection, trying on their pieces and even picking out a few to bring back to Texas.

Let’s be real here, finding jeans is one of the ugliest things for me when I stand at just 5’3 and am rather petite. Everything is either way too long or just doesn’t fit right. Enter AYR denim who takes into consideration both the waist and the length (like a guy’s jean); um why hasn’t anyone done this sooner?! But I digress, literally these babies fit like a glove, come in multiple different washes and here’s the kicker, are about as soft as my Lululemon leggings, with just the right amount of stretch that gives when wearing in all the right places and but also retains their shape!

I love a little party in the back, and this top is just that. Paired with a subtly black lace bra, the edginess yet daintiness that comes with the John Hardy NAGA Sautoir necklace. Look closely and you’ll see some dragons with ruby eyes – just the right amount of edge with classic pearls. Pull it one way for a statement with the boyfriend blazer, or shed the blazer and pull the necklace towards the back for a little fun. Plus a borrowed from the boys Tudor Heritage Black Bay watch, adds another touch of edge to the look. This watch is way cool and could totally be shared between a guy and a girl (hint, hint). Plus the band is interchangeable and can be mixed and matched for the occasion.
