Can you believe the holidays are quite literally right around the corner?! I know a lot of my needlepoint friends stitch Christmas canvases all year around, but stitching Christmas needlepoint canvases during the actual holiday season sounds so much more appealing to me!
New to the blog? Welcome! In case you’re looking for more needlepoint resources, be sure to check out my beginner’s guide to needlepoint post along with the post detailing my favorite needlepoint canvases for beginners.
Christmas Needlepoint Canvases under $100
1. Nordic Mitten & Stars kit by Burnett & Bradley
An excellent Christmas canvas for beginners, simply because it’s kitted with a step-by-step stitch guide. Work on your decorative stitching skills by trying out a few new stitches in this kit. I love the fun colors for a totally modern take on traditional Christmas. One of those canvases in my stash that I’m slowly working on. It’s shaping up to be a pretty one, especially with the metallic threads.
2. It’s Lit ornament by Stitch Rock Designs
I love this ornament! So many ways to get creative with it. Whether you’re a beginner stitcher or someone who’s more confident in using unique fibers that offer a bit of texture, this cheeky canvas makes a fun ornament for your tree or others!
3. Shiner Cheer ornament by Wipstitch Needleworks
Although I’m personally not a big beer drinker, for all my fellow Texans, you know that this one is a holiday staple! Makes me think fondly of ugly sweater parties back in college. A cute little sentimental gift idea for a guy in your life, have the finisher add their initials and the year to the back of the ornament.
4. Manor House ornament by Danji Designs
Just one of the adorable canvases in my stash. I haven’t pulled this one out yet, but I think I’ll be in the mood to begin stitching it as we get closer to the holidays. The 4″ round is on 18-count mesh.
5. Downhill skier by Silver Stitch Needlepoint
Shoutout to Silver Stitch Needlepoint, I have SO many of their canvases on my wishlist! This little downhill skier is great for holiday or not. He simply works for the winter season, too. Plus, a super easy stitch on 13-mesh
6.
I love a ginger jar all year around, but this little Christmas themed canvas is a perfect addition to your stash. Calling all my grandmillennial friends, this one is for you! Would be darling finished into an ornament backed with some red and white check fabric and pretty green ribbon.
7. Merry Ornament by The Plum Stitchery
An adorable canvas that might be a bit more intricate, but totally worth it! I envision either using some beads for the Christmas tree lights or some pretty metallic thread for the tree tinsel. I suggest using Kreinik metallic braid thread. I recently used it for a project and it just totally made it pop!
8. Santa Skier by Pip & Roo Needleworks
I think this canvas is just cheeky and darling! Who wouldn’t love a skiing Santa Claus? Best part, this guy is on 13-mesh, meaning a much easier stitch!
