It feels like just yesterday I was pregnant and researching all the baby products we might need, which to add to my registry and more. As a first-time mom, the research was a bit overwhelming. And let’s face it, everyone is right that each baby is different in what baby products they love!
At the end of the day, it’s all about trial and error, along with testing what we, as new parents, and Olivia, would love. We’re three-months in, and while there have definitely been some busts, we’ve found a handful of clever baby products we’re using in our current rotation. I hope to be back as baby girl gets a little older to share which baby products still ring tried and true and which I’d pass on.
But in the meantime, here are a few clever baby products we’re using and enjoying at the three-month mark.
CeraVe Baby Wash & Shampoo + Baby Moisturizing Lotion
The variety of choices for baby really overwhelmed me when it came to body wash, shampoo and lotions. So I opted for a brand name I was familiar with, and use myself, CeraVe.
Formulated by pediatric dermatologists, both the Baby Wash & Shampoo + Baby Moisturizing lotion are formulated with three essential cermaides.
We’re finally finding our groove with a nighttime bath routine and the CeraVe Baby Wash & Shampoo has been the perfect addition. It’s fragrance-free, soap-free and a tear-free formula – I know it’s safe for Olivia, yet effective on her delicate skin.
I love to lather the Moisturizing lotion on her skin before I slip on her sleeper – it’s been a nice way to round out the before bedtime routine. And one more way to get a few smiles!

Philips Avent Anti-Colic bottle & Soothie Snuggle
Hands down, our favorite brand for bottles! Olivia has loved all things Philips Avent, and we do too. Their bottles are some of our favorites and she loves the pacifiers.
Once we got home from the hospital, we started using the Philips Avent Anti-Colic bottle with AirFree vent and have been pleased ever since. The size is perfect for that newborn stage, and helps reduce feeding issues, colic, gas and reflux.
Fortunately we haven’t had too many issues with colic. Every time I tried out a different bottle, I noticed gas and colic-like symptoms arise; each time I went back to the Philips Avent Anti-Colic bottles and the issues went away. Olivia feeds nicely off the bottle nipple as well.
When we found out Philips Avent pacifiers are what hospitals use, we knew we needed to try them for ourselves. I love that the soothie snuggle toy can be de-attached from the pacifier and attached when needed.

Lamaze Toys
Our play and tummy times are much more fun thanks to these Lamaze Developmental Toys. Olivia loves all things black and white, and I love how these toys incorporate fun and playful patterns that will grow with her.
Right now we love the Puffabooâ„¢ Elephant with its crinkly ears and squeaky toy. Perfect for encouraging sensory learning.
The Soothing Heart Pandaâ„¢ has been helpful at bedtime for gentle bedtime melodies, along with a heartbeat sound that I can use when trying to soothe her for bedtime.
Lately she’s been getting an absolute kick out of the Wacky Giraffeâ„¢, too!

Oilogic Products
It’s been important to me to create calming environments whenever I can for baby girl. Enter women-founded and owned Oilogic products that are plant-based and offer assistance in taking the stress out of stressful situations.
The Oilogic Slumber & Sleep Essential Oil Linen Mist is one of those things I reach for when we’re having a bad day getting down for naps. I spritz it on her sleep swaddle to help relax and calm with Lavender and Chamomile oils.
It’s also really important to me that these products are both pediatrician and dermatologist tested.
Fortunately we haven’t had a need for it just yet, but I’m keeping the Oilogic Stuffy Nose & Cough Essential Oil Vapor Bath soak on hand for when we inevitably have colds or coughs.

Stonz baby shoes & booties
Why are baby-sized items simply so precious? Stonz baby shoes and booties are truly clever baby products that will no doubt be so useful when Olivia starts getting up and walking!
I’m so excited for when that time comes, but also a little bit petrified!
Safe for early walkers, the cute pink cruiser shoes are breathable and fit narrow or chunky feet!
Stonz also makes cute all-weather toddler booties that are easy to slip on and stay put on wiggly feet.
This baby & toddler footwear is clever and certainly something we will be using when the time comes for our sweet baby girl to be on the move!

T.N. Dickinsons Witch Hazel products
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention a product that’s a must for every new mom, and is a must-have baby product in the post-partum care department.
The jar of witch hazel stayed in our bathroom and became a staple in my everyday post-partum care. The extra soft pads are easy to use and gently soothe any irritations and cleanse as needed.
Dermatologist tested and free of artificial ingredients and dyes, I really liked these better than the products the hospital sent me home with.
