Hi there, happy February! Where did January go? Certainly flew by. Can you believe what a bore the Super Bowl was last night? Even the commercials were sub par at best. Bruno on the other hand was quite fantastic… but I digress.
Now, let’s talk beauty. Lately I’ve been pretty keen on moisturizing like crazy. Let’s just say these wacky fluctuating Texas-winter temps have been wrecking havoc on my skin. I’ve tried a lot of moisturizers; being from Arizona it’s a must and once I moved to Texas my usual moisturizers weren’t the best choices for the humidity (x100). Last month in a fit of crazy dry skin (thanks to the heater getting cranked in my apartment), I picked up a duo of Lancôme Bienfait face cream for both day and evening relief. You may remember a week or so ago I was struggling with a nasty cold-flu combo, well amongst all the meds, cough drops and hydrants I picked up at the store one day, I took a chance on what has become my new favorite lip savior.
So I recognize I’m a little late to the Clarisonic bandwagon, but better late than never right?! Holy cow y’all, my face has never looked or felt this good! And while I’ve never been a huge concealer gal, let’s be real – I’ve never worn a full face of concealer, just under-eye – Laura Mercier’s tinted moisturizer has become my new best friend. Just enough coverage, but still maintaining an airy lightness that lasts all day, I’m all raves.
Lastly, I finally found a hairstylist to love here in Houston who introduced me to Oribe products. A little bit on the pricey side, but totally worth it. I picked up shampoo and conditioner, a lightweight mouse and the most amazing texturizing spray there ever was. A major must-have, I’m pretty much obsessed with the gorgeous body and shine the products provide.
