If there’s one thing I truly loved about the wedding planning process, it was picking out the paper goods and stationery in celebration of our big day. Call me old fashioned, but I love a good piece of snail mail. Plus, a pretty piece of wedding stationery or a thank you note is a serious plus. My friends at Mixbook make creating wedding pre, day of and post big-day paper goods so easy, so here I am today to share our custom wedding thank you notes with y’all.
I wrote the majority of our thank you notes before and just after our wedding. However, in the months that followed, we continued to receive a few gifts here and there. I wanted to create some custom thank you notes that would be a little more casual but still appropriate and high-quality.
What I love about Mixbook Stationery is all the different designs and features, plus the ability to do it yourself (diy). Whether you’d like to choose a pre-created design or create you own, Mixbook makes the process extremely easy for anyone.
Again, like I said previously, I wanted to create wedding thank yous that could be used through our first anniversary, so I chose a simple and professional theme to customize for myself.
It was important to me to keep our custom wedding thank you notes simple yet timeless. I opted against including a photo so the thank you notes could work for multiple occasions, but when creating your own wedding stationery and thank yous, Mixbook makes it super easy to include photos or not in their designs.
I loved the elegant and chic script, which helped me make a decision on my design. A simple ‘thank you so much’ on one side, with our last name and wedding year on the other side, make for a perfect thank you note that Rick or I could use.
What do you like to say when writing notes on your custom wedding thank you notes? I recently heard that the nugget of what you’re actually writing a thank you about should be in the middle of the thank you. And instead start the note with a little happy or sweet anecdote. To be honest, I usually start off my thank you notes with the first sentence as a thank you – I feel like you can never say thank you enough in a thank you note. But I would love to hear your thoughts.
If you’re a bride-to-be or recently married, I definitely recommend checking out Mixbook. Their wedding suite is easy to navigate and filled with timeless designs you’ll be excited to customize and share with your guests.
Mixbook offers a bevy of different designs to choose from, and I’m personally thinking my next post-wedding paper purchase will be a special photo book to commemorate becoming the Haines!
