There was something seriously so magical about shooting in the Dubai desert dunes. Maybe it’s just the silly American in me, but truly it felt like I was in a bit of a dream.

We drove about an hour outside of Dubai proper to find these untouched dunes. I’m not sure, but I believe it was an area where falconry is practiced (the falcon is a revered animal & ‘pet’ to the UAE). You can tell by the photos that the dunes were in pristine, ripple form. We had the area completely to ourselves, besides the passing car here and there.

Talk about some serious wanderlust this Wednesday. Albeit the flight was a really tough 15 hours, I’d go back just to get regular snapshots with this background behind me.

P.S. this dress is under $100 and is one of the most comfortable things I’ve ever owned! I discovered The Fifth Label this summer, an Australian brand, and am obsessed with the quality and price point (last seen here). Definitely a year-around dress, I’ll be wearing this number with a leather moto jacket layered over it and some suede booties for fall and winter.
