You can probably tell I’m not yet ready to bid summer adieu just yet. I’ve been trying to wear all my cute summery outfits before the conclusion of Labor Day next week, but I may just sneak in some of my pieces into my early fall wardrobe… especially considering it won’t cool off in Houston until at least mid-October!

No doubt we’ve most likely have an end of summer function that we’ll be attending in the next few weeks, whether it be a Labor Day weekend party or for me, an anniversary dinner for some relatives, so I wanted to share with y’all an end of summer party outfit idea that works for many occasions.
My blush pink, peplum hem dress is flattering and would fit a variety of body types. It actually features shoulder pads, which I initially wasn’t too sure about, but have since loved as it helps keep the shape of the dress! Paired with some fun accessories and my trusty espadrille wedges (last seen in this post), this end of summer party outfit look is both sophisticated and still cool enough to wear through the remainder of Mother Nature’s summer heat waves.
And because it doesn’t hurt to think about different ways in which you can wear a dress before making the purchase, I’d like to point out that this dress could pair well with a long-line beige cardigan for early fall days at work or for a slightly edgier version come fall, toss on this leather moto jacket paired with a classic pair of ballet flats.
