Have you ever heard of a Fitbit Flex? No? I hadn’t either until about five months ago when I saw it on one of the pages of a magazine. Now that I spend the majority of my 5-day week in an office and more often than not behind a desk, I’ve been curious what kind of natural exercise my body is getting as opposed to the four years I spent in college walking back and forth between classes, something blocks worth!
You may’ve noticed in a number of my outfit posts, I’ve been wearing a green bracelet on my right wrist. Well, that my friends is the Fitbit Flex! You can read more accurately about it here and a comical story/review about a man’s week-long trial with a Fitbit, but in my own words, it’s a small pedometer/tracking device that you wear on your wrist day in and day out; it tracks your steps, let’s you set goals, tracks your sleep patterns and can even serve as a weight loss and fitness tracker. It’s unobtrusive, just slides into the chosen wristband color and sits on my wrist at least as more of an accessory piece, often stacked with other bracelets on my wrist day in and day out. It links up wirelessly to my Fitbit iPhone app and syncs letting me know my step count, hours of sleep and I can even input things including how much water I’ve drank for the day.
So, now you might be asking, why is she dedicating an entire post to this thing? Did someone pay her to write a review or something? Well, the answer is no. I’ve always been the type of person that has wanted to share things that I love, hence why this blog was born a little more than three years ago. And when it comes to fitness, in a day and age where it’s so easy to run through the drive thru or order takeout when we’re exhausted and had a long day. Or push off working out until tomorrow, the next week, etc.
Let me tell you that this little thing has been huge in raising my awareness of how active or not I am during the day, especially during a work week. I’m much more conscientious about how long I am sitting behind a desk, if I take an elevator or the stairs, and more so I can hit my daily goal of 10,000 steps. And let me tell ya, that goal is a big one – it’s super tough, and probably a little higher than necessary – but every time I do hit that goal, and my Fitbit does a little vibrating number, I still get excited, even though I’ve owned the thing for a little over four months.
Don’t think of this as me trying to sway you to buy a Fitbit Flex or any other Fitbit product for that matter. I know there are tons of other similar devices, I have friends who wear the JawBone and love it. I just wanted to share with my lovely readers more about the little accessory that’s doing a lot more than just sitting on my wrist! Plus, even cooler is Tory Burch just teamed up with FitBit to create a line of more wearable pieces to put the Fitbit in! I am loving Tory Burch’s gold Fitbit Flex bracelet, definitely a lot more chic and totally wearable everyday!
Be sure to check out Fitbit, and let me know what you think! Of course, email me any questions you might have and I’d be happy to answer. Have a great start to your week!

I ordered one on Nordstrom and three weeks later I got an email saying the order was cancelled because it sold out. UGH! Gonna try to buy from somewhere else today. Can’t wait to track my steps!

Wow! So cute. I love that Tory Burch makes the FitBit a bit more chic! I love the scroll bar on the bottom of the post with all of the items. How would one add that option to the bottom of a post?
Best,

I love these bracelets! I have the Jawbone (very similar concept) and it does help keep me in check. I started a pretty tough workout routine a few months ago when I felt like I had let myself go a bit too much and I’m back to where I wanted to be – and of course, that little rubber bracelet has helped quite a bit!

I have a Jawbone like the commenter above me, and I LOVE it. It’s definitely encouraged me to walk as much as possible, including at my lunch break, which really helps my energy levels for the afternoon! And tracking my sleep has been hugely helpful, as well. I just wish I’d held out a little longer for the gorgeous Tory Burch pieces!
