So summer is officially coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean Mother Nature is exactly cooperating with that sentiment here in Houston. We’re still icky hot, humid and otherwise unpleasant for another month at least, so for me who is always cold whenever I’m inside, I tend to dress in options that allow me to layer for a/c purposes during Houston summers.
It’s been at least two years, and I’m still really digging the utility jacket look. You may recall seeing the J.Crew Downtown Field Jacket or my classic Barbour Beadnell in past outfit posts. This fatigue bomber jacket by Calvin Rucker is really no different. I recently picked up a Velvet by Graham Spencer fatigue vest on maaajorr sale at Piperlime – with coupons I only had to pay for shipping #score – and am pretty excited about the options for it such as layered over casual dresses or long-sleeved tees as it begins to cool off.
A huge thanks to Sam and Lilli for featuring me in their recent e-blast! It was so much fun getting to pick out and style looks from their boutique, I hope you enjoyed the photos and outfits as much as I did! PS – don’t forget, today’s the last day to enter the Hudson+Bleecker tote set giveaway. Don’t miss out!
