Let’s be real, I love a good splurge skincare item that works, but in reality I, and my wallet, would love for my entire routine to be filled with reasonably priced skincare products that actually work. Enter Pixi Beauty, affordable skincare, that’s free of a handful of non-toxic ingredients. You’ve most likely seen in on your Target runs, this brand has a few of my tried and true affordable favorites that I repurchase again and again.
Favorite Pixi Beauty Skincare Products
Probably my favorite of all the Pixi Beauty products I’ve tried. The Glow Tonic is a toner that exfoliates and brightens the skin. I use this almost nightly, and love that it’s not too potent, but also deeply cleans my pores and any excess impurities.
I generally use this tonic after I cleanse my face and before I put on any of my serums or creams. I’ll use 2-3 pumps on a cotton round and wipe around my face and neck. The aloe vera soothes and hydrates, plus it smells nice. The 5% Glycolic Acid also helps with gentle exfoliation. I love that this tonic is alcohol and paraben-free.
A cult favorite, the Detoxifeye Eye Patches are worth every penny. I keep the jar in my fridge so these patches are super cold upon application. I usually use them in the morning, prior to a photo shoot or an event. These hydrogel eye patches moisturize and soothe puffiness.
These are some of my absolute favorite eye patches. With a little caffeine and hyaluronic-acid, these patches have that soothing sensation along with some de-puffing action. At an affordable price, you don’t have to feel guilty about using these multiple times a week or even daily!
Are you seeing a trend here? My biggest skincare complaint is my under eye circles, so I’m always on the hunt for products that can help to brighten up this problem area. Initially I was a bit skeptical about this brightener. Out of the tube it’s an orange-shade, but it blends nicely and wears well under my under eye concealer and other makeup.
I use this eye serum about 3x per week in the evenings. It’s a rich, yet lightweight serum that absorbs nicely and hydrates. What I love about this product is a little goes a long way! I’ve been able to make the tube last for quite some time. I use the applicator to drag a little product under my eye and then use my fingers to delicately tap into the skin.
I will say that I’ve had a handful of products cause me serious irritation around the eyes, so I have to be careful with the products I use. This serum has never irritated my eyes. I even dab a little on my eyelids too. I love that this serum isn’t sticky either.
I’ve really only added Retinol to my routine in the last few years. I’ve always been hesitant of the product, as for my skin type, even just a little dries it out quickly. However, this oil is a great budget-friendly option that works. The combination of oil with the retinol, helps to moisturize the skin and brighten it.
I use this product in the evenings only, 3x per week. After I cleanse/exfoliate and apply my eye and face serum, I use 2-3 drops of this retinol oil and let it soak in to my face and décolletage. I then layer over a moisturizing night cream to lock in everything before I go to bed. I definitely have noticed brighter, plumper skin in the morning after multiple months of use.
