As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized that quality over quantity trumps all when it comes to gifting. I’ve also realized that this philosophy is an important factor to keep in mind when shopping for yourself as well. Meet, Cuyana. A brand I’ve recently come to adore who believes ‘Fewer, Better’.

That my friends, may be one of the best philosophies I’ve heard for a company tag. And trust me, I come across a lot. But the fewer, better mantra is something that I can stand behind, something that is seriously genuine from my friends at Cuyana.

This outfit features a few classic, go-to pieces in my closet. My Barbour Beadnell Wax Jacket, which I received as a birthday gift from my dad, almost two-years ago, is one of the best jackets I own. He has one too, and we both joke about how we’ll both have them until we are old. They are an investment, but they are so much better than most jackets!

I picked up my Chanel flats at my favorite Houston-vintage boutique, Cheeky Vintage. They were a great score and will be a pair of flats I’ll have for years to come. Note: I take all my expensive, hope-to-keep-for-years-to-come, shoes to my local cobbler for sole reinforcements and leather treatment, and you should too!
