It’s been a minute, but I’m back here on my little outlet of the Internet.
I’ll be honest, I’ve felt a pull in the last few months to get back to this space; I’ve missed writing and connecting with my readers. I’d be lying if I didn’t say that motherhood certainly doesn’t make it easy to juggle this outlet. And as much as I didn’t want to put Adored by Alex on the back burner, after becoming a mom, I had to make the tough decision to do just that.
I’ve thought long and hard, but I’m just not ready to give up Adored by Alex. There are years and years of posts, photos and life stages chronicled in this blog. At least for the time being, I want to see if I can find a little rhythm here and use this outlet again as a means to share things I love and moments of my life. I’m not setting the bar too high, but I’m looking forward to re-embarking on the Adored by Alex journey, in a new and refreshed light, and seeing where it takes me!
Holiday Gifts for the Needlepointer

One thing that has continued to be a constant for me after becoming a mom is my absolute love for needlepoint! Oh how this hobby has been such a shining light in the last two years of my motherhood journey. It let’s me decompress, brings me so much joy, and has introduced me to a bevy of amazing women whom I wouldn’t have otherwise had the chance to meet!
You can see a bevy of former needlepoint related posts I previously posted here. I have a bit of updating to do, as well as a few different topics I want to touch on such as tips for sending needlepoint finishing to an independent finisher and updating my beginner’s guide to needlepoint post. Stay tuned!
It seems only fitting that my first gift guide of the year be one that’s so near and dear to my heart: holiday gifts for the needlepointer.
My number one gift for any needlepointer, yourself or someone in your life, is to gift them the under $15 LED rechargeable clip light. I’ve tried a handful, and this is by far and away the best one. The perfect stocking stuffer, the perfect thinking of you, the perfect gift for yourself… it’s useful and will fit compactly in your needlepoint project bag or in your nightstand drawer. I love it so much, I own two.
Scissors can also make a great gift, but I do personally tend to think that they can be loved by one user and not another. I couldn’t resist including some comfy lounging clothes, because isn’t that your favorite time to needlepoint? It’s mine – when I get to wear comfy lounge clothes and needlepoint on the couch with BRAVO on in the background 🙂
