It has been nice and steamy here in Houston this last month – wait, woah… can you believe it’s already July?! – with the undoubtable fact that it’s going to get even steamier. That’s where a great (okay, not just one, but multiple) day dress(es) come in. Find a few that are light, preferably cotton or linen, and breathable, and you won’t struggle as much to stay cool in the heat.
I love a good Goodnight Macaroon find, albeit it takes awhile to get it shipped (it’s coming from overseas), the quality of the pieces I’ve ordered has always been great and wearable over and over again. I’ve had this paisley print dress on constant repeat the last few months. I accidentally ordered it a size bigger than I needed, but never fear! That’s where a great belt comes in and actually works even better to define the waist. I personally like a thicker belt with this dress as it breaks up the entire print and gives me a little definition. The fabric is breathable and cool for errands in my Converse sneakers or dressed up with wedges for drinks and dinner by the beach this Fourth of July weekend.
