As an alum of The University of Texas, that school, the city of Austin – they have my heart. So heading up to the city during the hoopla that is SXSW, now a serious mecca for tech, interactive, music, etc., was seriously fun and the city was totally buzzing with energy. Top: Zara (similar) // Jeans: AYR // Belt: Hermes // Shoes: Schutz (on sale) // Earrings: Gorjana via Rocksbox – use code adoredbyalexxoxo for discount at checkout// Necklace: Kendra Scott c/o // Watch: Kate Spade // Bracelet: Hermes // Rings: Kendra Scott drusy; Kendra Scott c/o // Bag: Reed Krakoff
The new J.W. Marriott is absolutely stunning and huge! I’ve grown up in a family that always stays at Marriotts, so it was so fun to see this updated and rather edgy take on a J.W. in ATX.
I’ve found a serious love for throwing it back to the 70s as of late. This peasant type, off the shoulder blouse has been a favorite in my closet as of late. Here it’s paired with jeans, but I’ve also paired it with this J.Crew metallic pleated midi skirt and even shorts with my Jacks Rogers. Not going to lie, these Schutz heels are rather gorgeous, but to be perfectly honest they killed my feet after day end; one of the backs of my ankles was bleeding from the leather rubbing against it. I have high hopes for them, as the left foot is broken in, but if anyone has any suggestions as to what to do to help when I wear them again, will totally take it in stride!
You can tell the streets were abuzz for SXSW and I enjoyed experiencing the scene and taking part in the festival a bit as a blogger!

Love this look! Great for SXSW, but I would totally wear this on a normal day. Refined, but very wearable.
