If there’s one thing I love, it’s a great pattern. So when I have the chance to mix two in an outfit, I’m all for it. I often am told I wear patterns well, and it’s a compliment I love. So today I’m here to share my own tricks on how to effortlessly mix outfit patterns for yourself!
// // Sandals // Handbag c/o // Sunglasses // Earrings // Watch // Large cuff bracelet // Small cuff bracelet
I saw these pieces from a new-to-me brand, Persifor, and knew I needed it to be mine. Separates that can be worn together or separately, which means they’re ultra wearable within my closet.
So how to effortlessly mix outfit patterns? I look for similar color palettes and a contrast between pattern sizes. For example, the bold coral pattern of the tunic top plays well paired with the smaller, less-distinct navy and white pattern on the drawstring shorts. The whites, light blues and navy tones all coordinate well with each other and make for an easy mix of the two largely different patterns.
However for those that aren’t big on pattern mixing, don’t fret! These two pieces are perfect on their own, too. I’ve worn this tunic a number of times with denim or solid navy shorts (see here). Whereas the printed drawstring shorts are so comfy and easy to wear with the drawstring. I’ve been wearing them with a solid white tee or a white button-down shirt.
