Inside my Makeup Bag

Since I’m often either on-the-go to meetings or running errands, I like to keep a small makeup bag inside my everyday tote. For me, it’s a no brainer when I sometimes may not make it home until the end of the day. Something that will always be in my makeup bag is one of my beloved Vaseline lip therapy tins to combat chapped and dry lips.

I don’t know about you, but I am constantly fighting chapped lips. I’ve jumped around in my fair share of different chapsticks and lip balms, but somehow always come back to Vaseline. Perhaps it’s the tried and true Vaseline lip therapy, that as I mentioned in a post last week (see here), I’ve been using since I was a little girl.

I really love that these new Vaseline tins are convenient and compact. I can throw it in my makeup bag and not worry about it taking up too much space. This cocoa butter tin is one of my favorites because it reminds me of summer. The beach is one of my favorite places, and the smell of cocoa butter, almond or sunscreen evoke those memories for me so quickly!

Something to truly attest to, is that this balm lasts. I accidentally left my makeup bag in my car last week. If you hadn’t heard, Texas has been experiencing super, unseasonably warm temperatures. Nevertheless, I was almost positive I was going to come back to a melted lip tin that would need to be replaced. But, to my surprise, the lip tin wasn’t melted and the lip butter was just as I left it, thank goodness! One less trip to Target for me!

A few other items besides the Vaseline lip tins, that I can’t leave home without are sunscreen, eyeliner, blush and mascara. But above all those items, lip balm is one of the most important things for me because I apply it at least 15 times a day – again chronic lips chapped sufferer (when I’m not using my Vaseline!).
