In the past few weeks I’ve chatted with y’all here about transitioning our wardrobes for fall. I wanted to take the time today to talk about transitioning a staple piece from late summer into a fall-ready look. For me, this staple wardrobe piece is the leopard print dress.
I grabbed this leopard print dress in the late summer (lucky for you, it’s now on sale!), and wore it dressed down with sneakers and dressed up with heels for Rick’s birthday dinner. To me, leopard is a neutral, so this chic shift dress is a staple item in my closet.
So that I can wear it in cooler months, I layered under a crisp white button-down shirt. If I still worked in Corporate America, I would definitely wear this look for a workwear ensemble. I also like the idea of a silk button-down shirt underneath the dress for an even more dressed up look.
For a casual fall look, I say layer under a striped long-sleeve tee or throw over a jean jacket. Paired along with a simple black tote and my white Converse, I’d still feel dressed up and ready for a lunch meeting or client shopping trip.
Would you like to see this dress styled in a casual way for fall? If so, let me know in the comments!
