Well as you can see it’d be quite an understatement to say that jewelry is one of my favorite ways to accessorize. Yep, I’ve acquired a lot of it throughout the years – both costume to medium range, expensive and those one-of-a-kind heirloom, passed down pieces.
Growing up I organized my jewelry in a variety of jewelry boxes, especially in a large leather storage box like this personalized Mark & Graham jewelry box. Yet, since I’ve moved on from home, college and now to my own place, I’ve been able to have fun with jewelry vanity organization.
The white Cost Plus desk was where I studied and blogged back in college, but now with a built-in desk unit in my apartment, the Josephine desk now serves as a jewelry vanity of sorts in my bedroom.
Because a lot of my pieces are colorful and speak for themselves, I wanted a way to organize and store them that would not clash. Enter lucite trays and acrylic jewelry stands. Meshing with my ghost chair, the lucite trays, similar to this monogrammed tray version from Design Darling, (mine are from the Container Store) as well as the necklace and bracelet stands, aptly display and organize all my pieces. Instead of digging inside a jewelry box in the mornings, I can quickly glance at my pieces and pick out what I want to wear and be on my way.
As you can see, some of my longer necklaces, like this Bauble Bar deco necklace and Ily Couture Juliet crystal statement necklace are a little long for my acrylic necklace stand. So for my even longer pieces, like the Kendra Scott Rayne necklace and Ily Couture tassel necklace, I hang them off the corners of my Rifle Paper Co. framed Streets of Paris print.
I’ve been hearing a lot lately about a company called GLAMBoxes, which make a great alternative for a space perhaps not as spacious as my entire vanity top. The GLAMclassic jewelry box with pegs for necklaces is brilliant.
How do you organize your jewelry? Do you have an tricks of the trade to share? I’d love to hear!

I love it when accessories and make up and such are displayed beautifully like this! Just one thing I would mention, that you may already be aware of, but jewellery actually tarnishes the more it is left in open air, so perhaps if you have delicate or sentimental pieces, they would be good to store away in a drawer or air tight box – just a suggestion!
