Traveling made easier (and much more organized) with my Truffle No. 1 Clarity pouch in lilac. Pretty details like Prada sunnies, Kendra Scott earrings and an Ily Couture statement necklace don’t hurt either.
While in L.A., my boyfriend Rick and I make sure to enjoy the wonderful eats the city has to offer. How cute is the Magnolia Bakery and it’s rustic b+w diamond patterned floors located off of West 3rd street?!
Case in point, brunching at the delicious Urth Cafee in Beverly Hills. Dining al fresco + breakfast foods make my heart happy (Breakfast pizza and the best banana oatmeal, aka tasted like Bananas Foster, ever had!)
Rick found this cool place on Yelp. The Ice Cream Lab, literally steps away from Rodeo Drive, was one of the most unique, and coolest, ice cream shops I had ever been to! All organic and totally unique flavors, your ice cream is made right in front of you with liquid nitrogen.
But indulging on yummy food and sweets comes at a price. Albeit it the price of hiking up to this view wasn’t worth complaining about. Saturday afternoon at Point Dume in Malibu was definitely picture perfect.
And we didn’t stop there. After Malibu, we drove back to the city and hit up Runyon Canyon for an even tougher hike in the Hollywood Hills. Probably one of my favorite things to do in Los Angeles. The view on a clear day is absolutely priceless.
Of course no trip to L.A. is complete without a little retail therapy… I came thisssss close to pulling the trigger on one of these Prada Saffiano beauties. For right now, my bank account is thanking me – but who knows what the future holds!
And let’s not forget to point out the papparazzi sightings. We stumbled upon this one while walking around Beverly Hills. Turns out (someone we’d never heard of) celebrity/actress/model Kelly Brooke was getting her nails done at this salon with her new fiance in tow. Rick was quite taken by the scene – I felt like I was in an episode of TMZ!
It’s always a must to see my best friend Catie when visiting the City of Angels. On sunday we got the chance to catch up on stories and brunch at the super adorable Little Next Door on 3rd Street.

The boyfriend and I (un)intentionally coordinated our blues for brunch…
Trips to L.A. sure don’t disappoint. It was definitely tough leaving such beautiful weather, but the long weekend in California was so fun and I can’t wait to get back sooner rather than later!
