Day two of NYFW was filled for me with tons of shows and presentations. I wanted to wear something comfortable but still with a little kick to it and that’s where that pattern mix came in.
Friday’s schedule consisted of the Kate Spade presentation (such a dream, see my recap here), one of my favorites Idan Cohen, Betsey Johnson, Giulietta, backstage with Aveda at Latinista and then the Latinista runway show. I was on my feet for at least 12 hours so wearing a pair of heels that weren’t too high and kept my foot in place was key.
Of course with heading to Kate Spade I had to wear something from the designer. I love the box pleats on this skirt and the unexpected colorblock mixture at the hem. I’ve had this Alice+Olivia blazer for more than a year now and I continually go back to it over and over. It’s one of those pieces in my wardrobe, that if taken care of, I can have for a really long time. It’s rather timeless.
My friends at Ditto hooked me up with some great sunnies for my Fashion Week trip, like these super fun and retro-esque Prada sunglasses. I wasn’t sure how they would look on my face, but took a chance on them and received so many compliments from friends and photographers alike!
Ditto is a great program, for people like me who love sunglasses, in which you can ‘rent’ out a pair of great designer sunglasses for a monthly fee, then once you get bored of them, trade them in for a newer and greater pair!
