I dove into my most recent outfit posts and realized I really do love a good print. In case some of my latest outfit posts weren’t apparent, you can catch them here and here. I’ve always been a huge Lilly Pulitzer lover, so naturally I gravitate towards all her printed pieces each summer because they’re bright, bold and colorful. On a day-to-day basis here in Houston I live in easy to throw on dresses or tops, because y’all it’s just too darn hot and humid out there. And this paisley print tie-sleeve dress has been on heavy rotation this month.
Tie sleeve dress // Jack Rogers sandals // Handbag c/o // Earrings c/o // Sunglasses // H bracelet (gently used option here) // Small cuff bracelet
Apparently I wear a lot of prints. I hadn’t realized it until Rick recently pointed out that every top I wore a week or so ago was striped… #whoops. But I stand behind the mantra that if what you wear makes you happy, then don’t stop!
For me, there’s always been something about a Lilly Pulitzer print that makes me happy. Perhaps it’s because the brand reminds me of my grandmother, who used to purchase me dresses when I was little. Or maybe it’s because they remind me of my mom, who loves a good Lilly print just as much as I do. What I do love about this exact dress is the colors are quite bold. I saw this paisley print tie-sleeve dress in person when purchasing, so I knew how bold the colors were. However, some of the complaints on their website are that the color is much brighter than pictured online.
And just in case you aren’t a print lover like myself, Lilly Pulitzer does have pieces that are solids, too. Check out this solid t-shirt dress in a beautiful periwinkle shade or this peach colored ruffle sleeve and eyelet shift dress.
