I love a great facial, it’s probably one of the few things I like to splurge on when I go on vacation or know I’ve been neglecting my skin – take an hour or so to get a facial at a spa to refresh and rejuvenate my skin. A lot of my friends had told me the most important thing they did leading up to their wedding was take care of their skin, so I sought out just that and found it in the Hydrafacial.
Many local dermatologists and med spas might offer the hydrafacial in your area, but for my Houston-based readers I highly recommend Camille Cash MD’s hydrafacial service. Located inside the loop, the office conveniently has it’s own parking and is welcoming and spacious.
Before this, I had never had a hydrafacial, only your a-typical facials with painful extractions (I’ve had black heads since forever!) at my local salon or spa on vacation. Something that had me super excited about the Hydrafacial is the lack of pain when it comes to extractions.Lynette, of Dr. Cash’s office, was so sweet as she sat down with me for my initial consultation before my first hydrafacial. She explained all the products and procedure and eased my worries about any discomfort or pain.
With a vacuum like system, the hydrafacial feels like a wet paint brush being brushed over your skin. It’s super gentle while removing dead skin cells and impurities. Simultaneously it’s also hydrating and cleansing the new skin cells for a refreshed and rejuvenated look. RACHEL MARIE PHOTOGRAPHY
The Hydrafacial MD system has six steps, which all went by super quickly.
Vortex exfoliation to uncover the healthy skin; vortex peel via a mixture of glycol and salicylic acids for a peel without any of the post-peel scaling; vortex-extraction via suction of the pores (this felt a little like sandpaper, nothing like the pain of a real extraction!); vortex-boost in which the aesthetician used targeted skin solutions to tackle my specific skin concerns; vortex-fusion via the Antiox+ serum for nourishment and protection; then finally the extend & protect by utilizing ingredients used during the facial process. If given the option, I would pick a hydrafacial over a regular facial any day. I saw results within minutes of walking out of the office and looking at my face in the mirror of my car. My skin was absolutely glowing, felt purified and so fresh. I highly recommend this treatment to anyone, as it’s non-evasive and super easy with absolutely no downtime.
I will definitely be getting a few more hydrafacials before our big day in January. Houston friends, be sure to call Camille Cash MD, 713-571-0600 or visit her office at 2150 Richmond Avenue #103, for more details on the Hydrafacial MD system, plus see more here for info on specific skin types. For all others outside of Houston, checkout Hydrafacial.com to find a provider in your area.
