When I have days that I’m away from my computer and desk but not doing any meetings, I like to wear more than just shorts and a tee. Enter my trusty distressed denim, a chic v neck linen top and a classic handbag – my Proenza Schouler satchel.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again and again, until the summer is over, it’s hot and humid here in Houston. And although linen can be a difficult fabric (read: wrinkles easily) I really like wearing it during the summer because it’s breathable and cool.
These distressed jeans have been on heavy rotation for quite a few months. My family doesn’t really care for them, but honestly I receive so many compliments on them (sorry mom & grandma!). They definitely run a bit big, so I recommend you take a size smaller than your usual jean size; they also stretch a little with wear too. But they best thing is they’re under $100!
I’ve had my Proenza Schouler satchel for a few years now and I know it’ll be a bag that I’ll have for years to come. I love that it’s both a shoulder and top-handle bag. It’s a lot bigger inside than it looks as well! I can actually carry my planner inside along with other essential items. If you’re looking for a designer bag to invest in, I highly recommend a Proenza.
P.S. I’ve teamed up with a group of bloggers for a fun summer giveaway. Enter below for a chance to win a Macbook Air and a Kate Spade tote. Good luck!
