Halfway through the week y’all! I don’t know about you, but I’ve learned to love wearing my trusty jean jacket in numerous outfit situations. In Santa Barbara a few weeks ago, the mornings and nights were chilly, so I kept my jean jacket in tow and threw it over everything like this leaf print dress paired with striped lace-up espadrilles.
My sweet momma actually picked up this dress for me last month in Phoenix, and since she’s brought it to me, it’s become a favorite. The price is on point – so budget-friendly! And now it’s on sale too and comes in petite sizing. Oh, and it has pockets. That’s a win-win on all levels in my humble opinion!
As I’ve mentioned before, I’m not the most confident in pattern-mixing, but this is clearly evidence of my ability to do so. See previous pattern mixing outfits here, here and here. I really love the look of the leaf print paired with the striped lace-up espadrilles and the backdrop of greenery in some of the photos. Montecito might be one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever shot blog photos. It made it so easy because there were pretty backdrops at every corner.
I snagged these lace-up espadrilles before our trip and have been wearing them on heavy rotation. Even though they’re striped, they go with almost everything and they’re super comfy. Soludos has some of my favorite espadrilles. The quality is great and the price is super budget-friendly. I also have this black pair and this fun Oui Non pair too.
