Texas Longhorn Game Day Outfit

For us sports fans, the weekend is finally here! Football is back! I’m actually quite the football fan, and love going to a game every so often. One of the common questions I receive every year, is what to wear to a game when it still feels like summer outside? Here today to share my Texas Longhorn Game Day outfit, perfect for now through mid to late-October.

College football games in Texas are H-O-T! It’s hard for me not to laugh when girls show up wearing their best gameday outfits, only to quickly find out that they’ll be sweating up a storm. I always opt for white at games, from now through mid to late-October. Even in October, when you’d think the weather will finally cool off, Texas has a way of showing us otherwise. Back in college I’ll never forget being at the Cotton Bowl for the Texas/OU game, and it was a cool 95 degrees outside!

With that being said, a lightweight cotton dress is the perfect pick for a Texas Longhorn Game Day outfit. Granted, things are a bit different this year, but even if you’re watching from home this look shows your school spirit!

I’m slightly obsessed with J. Marie Collections. I love how their white dresses are lined, because with sweating comes being able to see through clothing! The burnt orange embroidery isn’t overly obnoxious, and I add to my Longhorn colors with this stadium compliant crossbody bag by Austin-based Hampton Road Designs.

In case you’re not a football fan, most stadiums (including college football and NFL games) implement a clear bag policy. When these policies first came to being, there were very few cute clear bag options . Now, there are so many different options to choose from!

I love Hampton Road Designs bags because you can pick out different colored straps depending on the occasion. While I’m a Longhorn and proudly wear that burnt orange, my hubby Rick went to Baylor, so I obligingly wear Green and Gold when I go to Baylor games. I have a cream and white strap, which I’ve switched on to my clear bag when w’ve gone to Baylor games.
