The idea of traveling halfway across the world was seriously daunting to me. So after some great conversations and research via friends & bloggers whom I love, I got together on paper what I needed to keep my beauty routine on track. Travel beauty with Ulta Beauty is easy and with a game plan I was in and out of my local store in a snap!
So let me break down for you in an easy list my Travel Beauty products with Ulta Beauty so you can get an idea of what has worked for me on my trip to Dubai and know if you’d like to pick up some of your own for your next trip!
Batiste Dry Shampoo: Literally the best dry shampoo that ever existed. I take this bad boy everywhere. I love how compact the travel version is. I usually spray it into my hair before I go to bed, or in the case of my flight, when I went into the lavatory to get ready for some ‘restless’ sleep on my 15-hour flight. I usually spray on the sides above my ears – a quick 1-2 seconds and flip my head over and get the roots at the nape of my neck and then sleep on it. Magic truly exists and I I can thank Batiste for letting me sleep a bit longer some days!
Bliss Fabulous Makeup Melt Gel-to-Oil cleanser: I’d never used this brand before, but have heard wonderful things. I was looking for a face wash that wasn’t too expensive, travel size, but a little higher-brand than what you might find at a drug store. I will rave about this face wash as it isn’t heavy and really gets off the makeup and remnant dirt and oil. I used this product both as I was getting ready to go to sleep on the flight and when I woke up in the morning before landing and was very happy with the results.
IT Cosmetics Hello Light anti aging Creme Luminizer: I’m an IT Cosmetics fan. This Creme Luminizer is divine. I don’t care what age you are – unless you’re blessed with angelic skin, we all need a little light-me-up pick-me-up every one and awhile.
Living Proof Anti-Frizz Shampoo & Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Conditioner: Living Proof has been a brand I’ve heard about now and wanted to try for sometime, however the price point has kept me away. There’s something about spending the price of an eyebrow wax or manicure on a bottle of shampoo or conditioner that scares me away. However, in the travel size, I’ve been able to try both these Living Proof products and have loved them. Dubai has a super dry and humid climate and my hair has worked great! From both styling and blowing out to wearing al natural (wavy-ish curls for me) it has been weightless and caused little to no extra oil in my scalp.
Neutrogena Light Cream Night Cream: For the price, this cream is on point! I wanted something that would be extra moisturizing for the 15-hour flights and that I could rely on while I’m in Dubai to keep my skin fresh when I woke up in the morning. I admit I use a bit higher end creams when I am at home, but while traveling, this is a winner. Light, not oily and rubs in perfectly leaving me feeling moisturized and my skin fresh.
Pacifica Essential makeup removing wipes: Pacifica products are some of my favorites. Their candles and soaps have been some of my mom and I’s favorites for years. I usually tend to stick with drugstore makeup wipes from the travel section, but decided to indulge a bit for this trip. The packaging, albeit it a bit larger, is much more sturdy and not nearly as flimsy as others. Plus, the smell is phenomenal.
Travel Beauty with Ulta Beauty is a piece-of-cake when you enter the store with a plan. For me, I’ll end up wandering around wasting time I don’t have to prepare for a trip if I don’t write down what I am looking for. Utilize the employees, they’re there for a reason! I was looking at a much more expensive night face cream when someone from Ulta led me to the Neutrogena version.
What are your travel beauty go-tos? I’d love to hear! Hope you had a great week.
