Dress: vintage Oscar de la Renta c/o via Cheeky Vintage // Shoes: Zara (similar) // Necklace: vintage Lanvin via Cheeky Vintage // Watch: Kate Spade // Clutch: vintage Bruno Magli via Cheeky Vintage (similar) // Ring: vintage (similar)
I’ve always said since I was a young girl, if I had all the money in the world I would only wear three designers: Armani, Carolina Herrera and Oscar de la Renta. Some of my fondest memories are of walking through the high-end designer section at Saks and Neimans with my grandmother, as we headed to the ice skating rink for my regular lessons. She would talk to me about the fabric quality, cuts and understanding of the woman’s body by these three designers, whom I grew to admire and to this day we still love their designs.
I’ve been fortunate to get my hands on a few pieces by Armani (last seen here) and Herrera (last seen here) throughout the years, but it wasn’t until earlier this year that I got my hands on my first ODLR piece, a vintage piece at that. This dress is truly special. It is the shape I know will work for my body type without even having to try it on; trying it on led to the notion that this dress was made for me and I had to have it. I wore it for Easter service and brunch at home in Phoenix and never felt more confident. I received endless compliments and truly this piece will forever be a special dress in my wardrobe.
