Just in time for the season, here to round out the week with some autumn porch decor inspiration! I love decorating for the holidays, but it can get a bit overwhelming, especially as we near the end of the year. With that, I like to keep things simple.

As you can see, our porch and entryway is a bit narrow and small. There really isn’t much room to work with, so this year I tried to capitalize on height. I grabbed an under $10 bale of hay and two of my favorite pumpkins, Fairytale Pumpkins, and stacked them on top of it. I would’ve loved to do a higher stack of pumpkins, but was worried they would fall over!
The hay bale can be a bit messy, but it’s a fun and simple way to decorate for the season, especially in a smaller space. Plus, it’s a budget-friendly means to attempt that autumn porch decor inspiration we all see and love in magazines.
Last fall I saw a local calligrapher monogram faux pumpkins as a fun, reusable decoration. While I wanted to purchase hers, she had too lengthy of a waitlist, so I decided to tackle the DIY. I’m usually not a big DIY person, but figured it was worth a shot.
I grabbed a faux pumpkin at Michael’s, some Sharpie permanent paint pens and printed out our last name with a font of my choosing from dafont.com. I then simply traced the writing with a pencil and followed up with the white paint pens. It was a time consuming endeavor, but it cost me less than $20!
If DIY isn’t your thing, then I you’ll love these I recently found. I’m not sure how weather resistant the decal would be, but it’s definitely an easier way to accomplish the personalized look!
Of course, adding the traditional autumn shades to our porch decor, is only fitting. Orange is one of my favorite colors, too! Mums are the perfect floral to add to any pots you might have, I picked up a medium-sized one at our local nursery. I will say, I’ve had a hard time keeping it alive! Perhaps it’s our weather, as it stayed warm up until about a week ago, but while it was alive, it added a nice pop of autumnal yellow to the porch.
And if you’re all about simple, then just go for the seasonal wreath! I’ve found almost all my wreaths at HomeGoods, but I’ve also seen some nice finds in-store at the AtHome. I swear by this wreath hook – under $7 and no rusting!

I get most of my wreaths at Pier 1 or Homegoods. I love those decals and they are so cheap! They could be used on lots of decorative items. Wow, you even got Lucy smiling over Fall!
