It’s no secret that I am a huge Margarita lover. If I could drink a margarita and eat chips and salsa every day without the hangover or weight gain, I’d be a happy camper! Since it’s #NationalMargaritaDay, I thought it fitting to share a tasty Strawberry Jalapeño Margarita recipe, that’s both easy to make and a crowd-pleaser!
I’m all about ease when it comes to creating drinks! That’s why I like to keep the ingredients simple and limited. You could definitely infuse freshly squeezed lime juice with fresh strawberries and jalapeños in the fridge, if you have the time, but I opted to pick up this tasty jalapeño limeade from my local Trader Joe’s. Remember my Hibiscus lime cocktail recipe? Those would also make a tasty drink alternative, if you’re not a tequila fan.
Strawberry Jalapeño Margaritas
2 ounces Tequila
1/2 cup Jalapeño limeade (from Trader Joe’s, otherwise grab some limeade at the store and infuse pieces of Jalapeño in it!)
2 strawberries hulled and sliced
Himalayan salt for rim
In a cocktail shaker, add ice, Tequila, Jalapeño limeade and strawberries. Shake until chilled. Pour into a glass and garnish with sliced strawberries, lime and himalayan salt. Pour remaining ice cubes into each glass. Enjoy!
Like I said, easy! And pretty! These drinks are tasty and the Jalapeño limeade isn’t too spicy, either. I suppose if you like a bit more of a kick, you could add some freshly sliced Jalapeños to the mixture. Enjoy #NationalMargaritaDay! And as we say in Spanish, Salud!
