You know when you find a workout routine that you love and can’t stop talking about it? For me, it’s been spin classes these last few months. I’ve quickly developed a strong affection for the tough, yet quick, workout classes. You can find me at them a few times a week! Since I’ve finally found a workout routine I’m sticking to, I’ve also invested in some goods to make my workouts more enjoyable – cycling shoes, a few great pairs of workout pants and the Brita Filtering Bottle, as a means to staying hydrated more sustainably.
It’s been a few months since I’ve shared a workout update here on the blog (you can see the most recent one here). Let me just be honest – I spent those months making excuses for myself on why I couldn’t make workouts and the like. But ever since I faced my fears (silly, I know!), and went to a spin class with a friend, my excuses for not making a workout have gone by the wayside.
Not only am I feeling better, but with my intense workouts comes a feeling of satisfaction and desire to be healthier to my body. One of those goals is drinking more water.
I’ve never been a huge water drinker – I order it at meals over tea or soda and have a glass at home, here and there. However, I’ve always been picky about the way my water tastes. I’m certainly not a tap water drinker, and even particular types of bottled waters aren’t to my liking. Plus, with my desire to try and eliminate wasteful habits in my routine, within the last year, drinking bottled waters every day is out of the question.

So many of my friends and followers have shared how finding a great reusable water bottle has been key to their water drinking success. So when I was introduced to the Britta Filtering Bottle, I purchased one right away.
Sleek, lightweight and available in a six different colors, the Britta Filtering Bottle has become my new best friend. I bring this water bottle everywhere. Not just to my workout classes, but in my car, along in my purse while running errands and find it by my bedside table in the evenings. Having great-tasting water anywhere, without the waste, has been a serious game changer for my water consumption habits.
Each Brita Filtering Bottle is BPA-Free and reduces that icky chlorine taste & odor we so often find in water. The handy bottle filters while I drink my water, meaning hassle free hydration without the waste.
Did you know 2,000 plastic bottles are used every second, here in the United States? And even more mind-boggling, plastic bottles take 450 years to decompose. Simply changing out a plastic water bottle for a reusable one, can and will be Earth altering. Because, using this single, 26 oz. Brita Filtering Bottle for a year means I’ll be replacing 1,800 plastic bottles in 365 days. That’s an easy habit I can get behind and a the perfect way to staying hydrated sustainably.
So along with finding and sticking to a workout routine that’s a fun, and consistent challenge, I’ve also formed better habits when it comes to drinking water. Thanks to my Brita Filtering Bottle, I’ve worked my way up to drinking at least 2-3 full bottles of water per day. While that isn’t meeting my ultimate daily water consumption goal yet, I’m definitely on my way towards it. Plus, knowing I’m doing better for the environment simply by using my Brita bottle, makes the routine that much more rewarding!
I’m choosing to #PutFiltersFirst by using the Brita Filtering Bottle every day. How are you choosing to make more environmentally friendly decisions? I’d love to hear your thoughts below!
